Blow the dust off your old Video Tapes
Fisher Electronics • May 18, 2017

Cherish your memories by converting your old Video Tapes over to DVD

Everyone probably has them or know people that do. You know, those old video (or audio) tapes that are sitting in your attic, basement, closet, or are just out of sight and out of mind. You've probably thought about them here and there and said, "yeah those should be converted over to DVD or CD", and then gone onto something else.  No big deal, the good news, is we can convert these tapes to DVD for you, you just need to find the tapes. These can even be converted over to a digital file so you can have it on your thumbdrive and store it on your computer.  Once you blow off the dust, bring them in to our shop (we recommend calling ahead to make sure we are in the shop). You can also send them to us. If you choose to send them, it doesn't hurt to call us ahead of time or send us an email by clicking contact us below. After you click contact us, scroll down and fill out the form with your information. Then you can go over the details about your videos with us.

We offer many DVD copying services, for just about everything except the very old 8mm reel tapes. If we had a projector to run those on we probably would take care of copying those also....but we don't.It doesn't have to be just your old tapes either, we can convert video from new hard drive or memory stick cameras to DVD also. We can also take care of copying over your old audio tapes (those that required a tape deck) to CD.  You can view our copying services and rates here, and see below for a few common question and answers.

1.) Are VCR's by themselves still available?
No, to our knowledge no manufacturers are making new standalone VCR's.

2) Are there DVD/VCR combination machines available?
Yes, there are a few companies still make VCR/DVD combination units. The best place to find and purchase these units is on the internet.

3) Can I play my DVD in a Blu-ray Player?
YES, any DVD can be played in a Blu-ray player. While you can not play a Blu-Ray disc in a standard DVD player, you can play a DVD in a Blu-ray player. So if you do not have a DVD player, you can use your existing Blu-ray player to play your DVD's or purchase a new Blu-ray player.

4). I still have few more questions, how can I contact you?
Great, just give us a call at 419.668.5131, send us an email or view our video tape conversion page here.
